We crashed a wedding!

Hey guys,

Well it happened, we finally crashed a wedding and it was crazy amazing! The bride and groom were a nice couple. They had very delicious cake, but what I’m really here to talk about is the epic freaking time we had with a company called Photo Booth Rental St. Petersburg . The staff was so kind and so sweet. You can visit their site by clicking the hyperlink I included earlier. They had so many freaking props. Here’s a photo from their website. il_570xn-735948696_7fme

Ha! Isn’t that freaking sweet? I was the hulk and she was Miss Captain America. I would strongly encourage you guys to try this thing out. The fun didn’t stop there. Because it was a wedding and like most weddings it was a celebration of love and eternal companionship with your best friend. In short there was a lot of freaking booze! Now, we didn’t get stupid drunk, but I’ll just say that the room was spinning like crazy. The couple danced to Christina Perry’s song One Thousand years. I hate to get all sappy on you guys, but such a great song. It was incredibly beautiful.

So okay, I have to be honest. You’re probably wondering if we got caught right? NOPE! Listen, we showed up to that party about 30 mins after it started and people were blitzed. It’s a lot easier to be a master of disguise when no one is looking for you in the first place right?

We had such a great time. The food was delicious as well. They had these little bacon wrapped scallops that were to die for! I think I enjoyed the wanton eggs rolls better than anything. Anyways, crashing this wedding and living a little bit was the best decision my fiance and I have done in awhile. I would strongly encourage anyone who is getting married to give it a try. If you do, give me a shout here!

Feeling too connected?

I was at CrossFit St. Pete yesterday and something interesting happened. My fiancé and I were talking to a friend who actually travels around the world dropping in to different gyms and works out. He doesn’t own a blog, he doesn’t post about it on Instagram, and he doesn’t share his stories on social accounts, so it’s almost no footprint of what he does. You would never ever know he did this unless you talked to him.

This struck me in one big way. Am I too connected to social media? I know, I just made a big sweeping declaration of pre-ordering the new iPhone and now I’m re-thinking my comment to posting everything I do. It’s interesting to me that someone like my friend can accomplish so much and not anyone know about it. Referring back to my last post, I should consider doing more and posting less. At the end of the day, yes…I’m going to buy the new iPhone, yes, I’m going to still use Instagram, but I found it very interesting that people still find ways to enjoy life without seeking the approval of others for likes, shares, or reposts.

Anyway, I’ll get off my soap box and start getting back to the focus of this blog, but if you’ve ever had that though of thinking about getting off social media, by all means I strongly encourage you to do so because my buddy has amazing stories to tell and he doesn’t regret it one bit.

My fiancé and I are going to a bridal show next week. Should be fun, but I’m mostly excited for the opportunity to eat all the goodies. I like to think of myself of a huge foodie and devouring any food in sight. Which is the reason why I was at the gym in the first place because I ate two bowls of ice cream which is how I ran into my new friend. Anyways, I’m out guys!

This is a late post, but Tuesday my fiancé and I like to enjoy your typical “Taco Tuesday”. It’s something we started doing a couple of months ago, but we’ve grown to look forward to Taco Tuesday. We use a basic structure. Below is a list of our ingredients.

  • Chicken, Beef, or Pork
  • Tomatoes
  • Avocado
  • Lettuce
  • Cheese
  • Corn Tortillas
  • Salsa
  • Lime

Yep, that’s it. It’s pretty self-explanatory you use the ingredients you like make it on a dedicated day each week. It’s a lot healthier and more importantly it gives you an idea of how much you’re going to spend on food for a specific day without having to break the budget with an unexpected food craving like pizza.

The reason I wanted to share that recipe with you guys is not because it’s incredibly delicious, but because you guys need to be more consistent in your lives when it comes to certain topics. Often I see my friends are scattered all over the place. I tell my buddies that the reason my fiancé and I can just take off and visit some foreign place is because we have certain areas of our lives that we reuse to change because we know the consequences. Sure it’s great to eat out with friends every night, watch movies, buy fancy things with an emotional impulsive attitude, but what are you really purchasing?

You have to ask yourself what’s the value of some of the things you own inside of your home? We eat a lot of the same things each day, week and month. It gives us a very consistent budget, but more importantly it gives us the chance to experience a new world and create everlasting memories. In closing and on a much lighter note I want you all to know that it’s okay to splurge every now then…especially if you’re going to buy the new iphone haha…jk 😉

Burning the Midnight Oil

Burning the midnight oil is no joke. I stayed up so late last night just enjoying the time with my fiancé. Talking with my fiancé, we’ve landed on where we want to go for our honey moon. It’s going to be an incredible experience, but to be honest I’m super excited that I get to spend some quality time with her away from the everyday life. For someone that travels pretty frequently you’re probably wondering what I mean.

Well, I want to do something super epic like climb the “Stair Way to Heaven”. Want to know a secret? Well, it isn’t a secret, but climbing this mountain is totally illegal and I can’t wait to break the law with the love of my life. It has almost 4,000 steps and offers a piece of tranquility that you can’t find anywhere else. Well, now that cat is out of the bag, we’re headed to Oahu, Hawaii.

Seriously, do you see how epic and awesome that is? Yep, We’re looking at going horseback riding, scuba diving, four wheel driving and experience the island just like a local would. Of course Hawaii isn’t Hawaii without amazing food and incredible beaches.

I think I’m excited for some authentic Hawaiian Poke as well. Anyways I’m closing this one early. I look forward to my next post. Just to give you a heads up, I won’t be posting about wedding stuff all the time, but we’re thinking about crashing our first wedding. We’ve been joking about it for a while now, but the more it comes up the more we want to actually crash a wedding. We won’t do anything crazy like wedding crashers, but we are coming up with fake names and trying to dine and dash on some delicious food Till next time.

Just go!

There are two types of people in this world, those who do and those who do not. Listen, you gotta grab life right by the kahunas and just go for it ya know? Sorry, I’ve been watching some old school Star Wars and that quote by Yoda really stuck out to me. Anyways, has anyone been following the new Apple announcement? I’ve been waiting for this moment for some time now, especially since my iPhone 6+ has a shattered screen and is moving slower than molasses in an Alaskan cabinet.

Goodness, that new iPhone 7 looks super cool. I’m really excited about the wireless headphones. I was on kick starter a couple of months ago and I remember this very cool wireless headphone company was really climbing up the charts as far as new innovative technology goes. Anyway, they ended up just disappearing. These headphones were incredibly awesome and you could swim, run, bike, wrestle, and do very hard core intense training without them falling out of your ear.

Well, in my opinion I think Apple bought this company out for their dope tech son! Yeah, apple is infamous for buying out other companies for their cool innovative technology and just claiming it as their own you know. Which brings me to this point, in order to be the best, you just got to do! Even Thomas Edison took credit for Tesla’s inventions. Fast forward a few years and boom you’re looking at the most high powered phone/music company on the planet.

I feel like Yoda was on to something. I’ve been relaxing a lot lately, but it’s certainly time for me to get back on my grind. My fiancé and I have been traveling a lot lately and just got back from the beautiful beaches in Corolla, North Carolina. I still have a small hangover, but nonetheless I’m ready to get back in action to blogging regularly.

See you guy’s next post.
